Cuff repair is a surgical technique to repair a tear of the rotator cuff in your shoulder. The tendons that hold the head of the humerus are reattached using sutures anchors and are allowed to heal.

Initially, the surgeon will make small incisions in the front and back of the shoulder. Small holes are drilled near the detached tendons. Suture anchors are inserted into the holes and are tied tightly in single or double row depending on the tear pattern to hold all the components in place.
Once the ligaments are firmly in place, the incisions are then closed with small bandages and the surgery is complete.
